Ugh..this camera!!

Hmm..I really need to work on my photography skills if I want to post layouts..I am not happy with how the last ones posted. I love Picassa and what I can do with it..just need to spend a little more time getting the pics cropped better. Oh well...

I am really frustrated with my camera right now. I have always had Kodak camera and loved them..but this last time I was swayed by the Fuji because it had a 16X zoom...great for a non-SLR camera..and the sports setting works well. But I have lighting problems and seem to get streaks when it is a bright day or for nighttime pics like lighted soccer games.... But can't justify getting a new camera yet...so I will just keep complaining about this one!

Busy Weekend....

I was lucky enought to get some time "away" this weekend. Actually I went to a neighbor's house to scrapbook for the weekend. Got lots done..will post some later this week.

Izzy's team played in the local Rotary Cup tournament. The girls did a great job and ended with the silver medal in their bracket!!

Still a kid...

Well, we are into August now....starting to get into school now..even though we don't start until September. B. had an Art History assignment which required us to go to the San Diego Museum of Art. After we went through the museum, we stopped at this outside artwork...and B. actually posed for a pic!

Where did this month go??

I can't believe it is already the end of July...where did this month go. Between camps and soccer practices this month has flown. Both girls played in Carlsbad Cup mid month. Izzy's team did really well considering the are still getting to know each other but by the end of the weekend, they had started to gel. Jules team won their bracket..Yeah!!

The whole family went to the American Idol tour concert in San Diego. We don't usually go to these types of things, but since we had all watched the whole season and voted for our faves, we knew we had to go. We had a fun time and it will be interesting to see where each of the performers go in their careers.(pic is from my phone.. we were actually pretty close..close enough to see their faces plus get the whole stage effects too)

I can't believe the stores all have their school supplies out...starting to collect those items I know they will need..can never have too many pens, pencils and notebook paper!!

Way to go girls!

We spent the July 4th weekend at the soccer fields...Juliet's team was playing in the Pegasus Cup. We certainly got our money's worth as they ended up playing 6 games over the 3 day tournament. The team played well and ended up with 5 wins, 1 tie, 19 goals for and only 2 against!!
