We finally got the fountain in! It is so pretty. I have a little bit of work to do and some plants to plant and the area will be beautiful. I love the fact that I can also see it from inside our living room.

Our new friends...

When we redid our yard, we both said that it would be nice to draw the birds back after taking away a lot of the shrubs, etc...Brock had fond memories of his grandmother's purple martin houses growing up. Well, we don't have martins here..but we do have finches. I got Brock a finch feeder for his birthday and now I think they have a bigger grocery bill than the kids. There are so many that visit everyday. We are also starting to attract other kinds too. There is a pair of doves which make an appearance almost every day now.

A Glimpse

Braxton was waiting for the girls to get outside so we could take the "family" photo for our Cards. He was just standing there and I snapped this pic. He is no longer my little boy...Actually he hasn't been for awhile..but this picture really shows the man he has become. It makes me realize the little bit of time we have left with him.

Rain, Rain

I am sitting here listening to the wind whistle through the trees. We have the fireplace and candles going....almost feels like winter!

We spent an exciting weekend in Temecula...at the soccer fields again. Izzy's team has decided that they should just skip regular season and do only tournaments. They had done well last summer and after having a disappointing season, we were nervous about this weekend's games. The girls did so well. They won 2 and tied 1 with no goals scored against them. They move on to next weeks semi finals as a top seed. I have to brag on Izzy...she scored the first goal.....a backdoor slider to pop it into the goal. It was a beautiful shot and we think it got the girls psyched to win a few games!
