Looking Back through the years...

I have been scrapping a lot of photos of the kids from when they were younger..mostly because when I went through my older album, I found that the pages were fading as I had not always used "safe" papers.  So here are a few of my latest creations.

This first one uses a sketch from Liz Chidester from her blog
The Scrappiest. I also used papers from the May kit at
Little Red Scrapbook featuring Crate Paper's Neighborhood line:
This next layout also uses paper from the same kit.  I have had this photo of B. for sooooo long but
just never put it on a page.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!!

This week's reveals and a winner....

This month's sponsor at Cookin' Up Creations is Die Cuts With a View.  They make great stacks and this month I was given their Tahiti stack.  Although most of the papers are beach themed, I chose to use some of the prints with this "formal" photo of the kids.  I am not sure you can call it a formal photo when they don't wear shoes...but here goes!

And from Amy Mattes Designs, I had fun using the Sweet Treats digital clipart from her One Pink Lemon Etsy Shop.

I hope you enjoyed my reveals and now for the important part...

The winner of my little RAK is...
Kacee!!!

Congrats...

Blog Hop and National Scrapbooking Day!!!

Welcome to your last stop on the “Put Some SPRING In Your SCRAP!” Blog Hop, hosted by the Cookin' Up Creations Design Team. You should have arrived here from  Nic's blog  -  She won the Crop Chef competition last month and will be our guest designer for May.   If not, and you would like to follow along the complete blog hop itinerary, start at the Cookin' Up Creations Blog here.

And now for some fun..

Yes, it is Spring here..and we have been dealing with some winds here lately...and what better way to enjoy them than to have lots of pinwheels around!!  Pin wheels have become very, very popular with paper crafters this year..and I love them!!  You can make them in any size you would like.  Here is a simple template to get you started:

Now the tricky part is folding the corner into the center. You can secure with glue dots or place a large item over the center.  I have used stickers and chipboard, but I think my favorite is to put a button in there!!  If you make them with cardstock, you can also put a pushpin through the center and attach them to a straw or wooden stick and place them in your yard!!!  Pull out that cardstock that you thought you would never use and see what you come up with!!

I made some with full sheets of cardstock and then pinned them to the wall of my daughter's room..boy will she be surprised when she gets home.  A big bold splash of color for her room...if she doesn't take them off to play with them!

You can also make them very tiny like these that I will put on a layout in the future...

Enjoy your pinwheels!!
